New remix for Black Hole!
(16th of November 2009)

Hey you all!

It haven't even been a week since I released my latest single, Paid My Douche, on Black Hole's "In Trance We Trust" label. None the less, I'm already able to tell you about a new remix - once again, for Black Hole!

This one will be on the main imprint, and is a returning favor for Daniel Wanrooy. It's his track with Melissa Mathes called "What You Want", which is actually the opening track on the latest In Trance We Trust compilation - mixed by the very same Daniel Wanrooy :-)

I'm not aware of the release date yet, but I guess it won't take long before it'll be in the shops!! Keep an eye on the site for more info!

Yours truly,
Kris

Most Underrated DJ On The Top 100
(4th of November 2009)

Ladies & gentlemen, I hope you'r doing well.

I guess you'r all familiar with the DJ Mag Top 100, announced every year. I'm happy to announce, that my long time friend, Daniel Kandi, ended up on the list this year as #87, and I was just as happy to read his interview. When asked who he thought was the most underrated DJ, he replied: "Kris O'Neil for his energetic presence in the booth and proper tune selection. " - thanks a lot for that one, mate!

The entire interview can be found on http://djmag.com/top100/detail/1271.

I'll be back here in a few days, to give some tasty announcements concerning my upcoming single, Paid My Douche, to be released on the legendary In Trance We Trust label.

Take care you all!
Kris
In Trance We Trust!
(28th of August 2009)

Ladies and gentlemen, I hope life is treating you well!

Loads of hours in the studio has once again paid off, and resulted in a new single! It has got the title, "Paid My Douche", and just like my previous single, "Those Mornings", this will be released on the legendary Black Hole Recordings as well - this time, on their "In Trance We Trust" imprint!

The sound for this tune is quite tougher, compared to my old stuff, but if you've heard my live sets over the last year or so, you might have an idea. We've found a rather tasty remixer, whom I'll keep secret for a little while though ;-)

Whenever there is more news, samples etc., this is the place to keep updated, as well as my Facebook Fanpage!

Oh, and speaking of Black Hole - if you are in Sweden, in details Gothenburg, on thursday the 3rd of September, you have the chance to see me warm up for the one and only Tiesto!

Also, September will be the month where i debut in Slovakia and Czech Republic - check the schedule for details! Stay in touch you all, and see you around the globe!

Yours truly,
Kris

Hey you all :-)

I hope you'r enjoying the summer - I certainly am!

I'm happy to announce that my upcoming compilation, "Kris O'Neil pres. Somewhat Classy, Somewhat Trashy" is currently set for release in late august, as CD (in the US) and digital download (worldwide).

The tracklist and artwork can be found under Releases, Compilations - I hope you'll like, as I'm truly pleased with the tracks I've been allowed to use :-)

Oh, and if you'r up for the nerdy details, I can tell you that the CD was mixed in real time ("live"), as a 1st take recording - not computer mixed, as you see every other compilation is.... :-P

I'll get you all updated when the final release date is out, as well as a few links to where you can grab it!

Stay updated,
Kris
Compilations talk
(The 20th of May 2009)

Hey you all - I truly hope life is treating you well!

I was just happily informed that my latest single, Those Mornings, will be the opening track of the new Privilege Ibiza compilation, mixed by trance legends Cosmic Gate! The CD will be out on the 22nd of june, and the tracklist is definately promising this one to be a theme for the summer!

Speaking of compilations, the last tunes for my upcoming compilation, "Kris O'Neil pres. Somewhat Classy, Somewhat Trashy", is currently being licensed from the various labels, so hopefully the cd will hit the stores sometime during the summer!

That was it for now - see you around! :-)

New remix!
(The 13th of May 2009)

Dear DJs, fans & freaks; I hope life is treating you well!

I've been busy as ever in the studio, finnishing a remix for... Tadaa! Abdul Bayyari feat. Josh Money, whom my first ever solo remix actually were for. When I got the offer, I thought it would be fun to do yet another remix for them after these years. If you should somehow have missed it, Josh also did the vocals for my last single, Those Mornings, released on Blackhole exactly a month back.

This will be my third remix for UK label "Enhanced Recordings", but most likely not the last.

The remix is still absolutely fresh out of the studio, as it was all completed earlier today. It should be promoted somewhere in june - the exact date is still unknown though - I'll keep you posted! For a sample, check out my MySpace page.

Oh, and if you live in Czech Republic or Slovakia, I just might see you in September, as I'll be there DJing :-)

All the best wishes, and please take care!!

Yours,
Kris...
Those Mornings
(The 5th of April 2009)

Hey you all, hope you'r doing well, and the weather as well - at least it's getting better day by day here in Denmark! Things has been busy in the studio recently, and I'm proud to announce that my first ever all solo release will hit the streets soon! It's called "Those Mornings", and is a bit on the softer side of things, compared to my latest productions. I seems like it will be released on the 13th of april, and will be out on Johan Gielen's "Tunes For You" label - sublabel to legendary Blackhole Recordings!

There will be 2 instrumental versions, 2 vocal versions, and a radiomix combining the 2 vocal mixes. Oh, vocals are done by Josh Money, who sang on "400 Years Till Dawn" which I remixed. Go check out my discography for details :-)

And last but not least, I've joined Twitter a while back, which seems to be the new secret society for the rich and the famous! Follow me on http://www.twitter.com/krisoneil.
Singles, remixes, and Scandinavia's number 12!
(2nd of March 2009)

Dear fans & freaks,

Once again it has been quite a while since my last update. Fortunately it doesn't mean that nothing has happened recently.

First of all, the poll for "Scandinavia's Most Popular DJ" was revealed a few weeks ago, and I am happy to announce that I reached the 12th spot, placed as the highest dane. After being #15 in '06 and #16 in '07, I'm really pleased being closer to the top 10.

Further more my remix of danish rockband "Moi Caprice" titled "Wish You Where Her" has been released - it's out now exclusively on Beatport.com.

Talking of productions, my first single since my collaboration with Daniel Kandi, Back Home, has just been released. The track is a collaboration with my danish friend and colleague, Niklas Harding, and has been titled "Saturn". It's nearly a year and a half since we finnished the tune, but as the old saying goes; better late than never! Saturn is out on all of your favorite shops, such as Beatport.com, as we speak. As a side note, Saturn will be on the latest Trance World compilation released on Armada, mixed by M.I.K.E. aka. Push.

Last, but not least, "NRJ Extravadance" will from this saturday change name to "NRJ At The Club", and should hopefully be syndicated in the rest of scandinavia as well very soon.

There is a lot of more stuff lined up in the near future, so keep your eye on here - I'll try to be better to update :-)
Tiesto's Club Life & new production
(14th of January 2009)

Since you found my site, I probably won't have to tell you a lot about Tiesto, as you most likely know him rather well already. What you might now know, is that I'm guestmixing in his radioshow, Tiesto's Club Life, this friday. Though it's only 15 minutes, I'd still dare to say that it's packed with some quite nice tunes - including 2 remixes of my own. For airing time, stations etc. check www.tiestosclublife.com.

While I've got your attention, please give me half a minute to talk about productions. After doing remixes for the likes of Markus Schulz, Johan Gielen, FKN feat. Jahala vs. Aly & Flia and the danish rockband Moi Caprice, I figured that it was about time to do some solomaterial. This has resulted in a track called Those Mornings, which is, after a few tougher productions, quite on the softer side of things. So far it looks like the package will comes with 2 mixes from myself, and 2 remixes from other artists. I'm afraid I can't let you know where it's signed yet, but think big :-)

As soon as there is anything official, I'll let you guys and girls know!

Take care,
Kris
Without you near...
(13th of November 2008)

Guys and girls, hope you'r doing well, and that you are having warmer weather than I'm having here in Denmark - it's freezing!

None the less, it's been giving me more studiotime, which resulted in yet a new remix, this time for no one less than the worlds newly voted number 9; Mr. Markus Schulz!

Earlier this year my remix of Johan Gielen's 2006 smasher, Physical Overdrive, was released, and once again I've had the oputunity to put my hands on an old favorite, this time the 2005 collaboration of Markus Schulz, Departure and Gabriel & Dresden, called Without You Near (included on the album with the same titel).

If things goes well, it should be at your favorite digital record pusher in early 2009, released through Markus' own Coldharbour label.

Further more, I'm seeking... hmm... Somewhat classy, and somewhat trashy tunes for an upcoming compilation - more news on that soon!
An update (finally!)
(The 26th of October)

Auch! Nearly 5 months without an update - shame on me!! Nonetheless, here is a new one.

I've previously told you guys (and girls) about the remix of Bakke & Ljungqvist - Envision, that I did with my danish mate, Simon Gain. That remix has just been picked up by Will Holland for the upcoming "Digitally Enhanced vol. 2" mixcompilation. The release is set for early November, so keep an eye on CDJShop.com, or what else your favorite recordpusher is.

Speaking of remixes, I just finnished a remix for the very popular danish alternative-pop-rock-band, Moi Caprice. The track is called "Wish You Were Her", and has already been aired on national (danish) radio - which is most likely the first "trance" tune to be played there for about 5 years - not bad! Preview is online on my MySpace page (click the logo below).

Besides of being busy in the studio, I joined the fine people over at Vonyc radio for a monthly show. The show - with the very original title; Kris O'Neils Vonyc Sessions - is aired the 4th monday of each month at 6PM CET. Last month my italian mates from Dyor visited as guestmixers, and next episode will be visited by the Kandiman (Daniel Kandi, if anyone should be in doubt).

Last but not least, I'm currently picking tracks together for yet a new compilation - this time to be released on a major US label - stay tuned for more info :-)
Update
(The 10th of June 2008)

It's been a while since my last update, so let's get started! My debut mix compilation hit the danish market 3 weeks ago, and is doing quite well on various salescharts, which is amazing. It's always been one of my biggest priorities to mix a compilation, and I'm thrilled I finally had the chance. The tracklist can be seen in "Releases -» Mix compilations".

Productionwise I've been rather busy in the studio lately, doing both remixes and solo tracks. Much of the stuff is only needing the last touch as we speak - including a remix for one of the biggest DJs in the world, flirting around the Top 10 position in the DJ Mag poll. Another amazing deal just came my way as well, but I will keep that for myself sometime yet :-)

Something I've really been waiting for - ever since I got home from last years season - is Ibiza! In less than a month I'll pack my bags to visit the amazing island for the 4th year in a row. It's still now confirmed however you will be able to see me spinning, but you will definately find me with a drink!
Yet another remix
(31st of March 2008)

I've been rather busy remixing in the studio lately. On of the tunes you can expect in the near future, is the Kris O'Neil & Simon Gain remix of Bakke & Ljungqvist - Envision, which was finnished and approved as recent as yesterday, will be the second remix from Kris O'Neil on the respected UK label Enhanced Progressive. More info about the remix will follow shortly.
Remixing Johan Gielen
(8th of March 2008)

Ok, so, I've been talking about an upcoming remix for quite some while now, and as Tiësto played it in his radioshow last week, I think I dare to tell you guys and girls more about it.

My next remix will be for a guy, that I dare to call a legend in trance; Johan Gielen!

It will be a 2008 remix of his 2006 release "Physical Overdrive", that I played in pretty much every live set back then. It was therefore an incredible honor, getting the possibility to remix it, and get it released on Johan's own label; "Tunes For You".

I don't know the releasedate yet, but I cross fingers it will be available on Beatport etc. asap.

Full title:
Johan Gielen - Physical Overdrive (Kris O'Neil 2008 Remix) [Tunes For You]
The 16th most popular scandinavian DJ 2008
(3rd of February 2008)

The 2nd of February the new Top 100 of the most popular scandinavian DJ was announced. Kris O'Neil entered the list as #16, and even though its one place down from last years #15, we still concider it a great spot. A big shout goes out to everyone who voted - thank you so much!
Kris O'Neil joins NRJ Denmark
(23nd of January 2008)

If you live in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Belgium, France, Lebanon, Austria, Switzerland or Bulgaria, you might be familiar with Radio NRJ, one of Europes biggest radionetworks.

From the first of February, Kris O'Neil will join NRJ Denmark, for the extremely popular radioshow, Extravadance. Furthermore Kris got the oputunity to mix the next CD in the Extravadance series, which will be available in April.

The show will be aired every Saturday from 6PM and untill midnight, CET. Kris will be on air from 9PM.
Better late than never...
(20th of December 2007)

First of all, welcome back! Second of all - when I took down my website nearly 8 months ago, I certainly did not expect it to take such a long time to get up the new version. Anyway, here it is, and I think it turned out amazing - hope you'll like it as well.

A lot of stuff happened during the downtime of my website. I've been busy in the studio like never before, and finnished a lot of remixes, as well as solo productions. My collabroation with Niklas Harding, called "Saturn" got signed to Andy Moor's "Ava Blue" label, which is truly an honor being signed by such an icon. Furthermore I remixed Aly & Fila vs FKN feat. Jahala - How Long, which is signed to the Armada sublabel; A State Of Trance! Last, but certainly not least, I just finnished a remix for a guy, who I'll dare to call a legend! More info about that as soon as possible.

Christmas and New Year is getting closer, which means it's time for some socializing with family and friends, as well as go out clubbing. If you happened to live in Kiev in Ukraine, I'd love to welcome 2008 with you, as I'm playing at "Ukrainian Club Of The Year 2007"; Sound Planet! If you should miss that night, I'm playing in Kiev again the 1st of January - check out my schedule for more.

Last but not least, I changed the concept of my Podcast. Instead of being a monthly one hour DJ mix, it's now about half an hour long, showcasing the very best of the tunes around. It won't be mixed in a traditional way, but just show you the best part of each tracks. For more, press the Podcast logo in the right of the site.

I think that's all for this time. I'll try to update my site more frequently in the future - maybe that should be a promise for the new year? Anyway, have a truly amazing time, and take care!
